Artist Bio

Although I used to draw for hours as a child, I never attended any art school.  But painting has always been a way of excluding myself from the world around me, as I am an extroverted and solitary person.

My art is a fusion of sensations and feelings, and I am generally inspired by the social aspects of my immediate reality. But also in legends, fables and mythologies. I usually never think about what I am going to paint, I just do it and the result emerges by itself.

I express myself with strong strokes and pure colors, in a disorderly and spontaneous way. Without technicalities, limitations or rules, just letting the brushstrokes and strokes flow by themselves on the canvas. I never look for a contrast of perfect shades and I prefer a raw texture rather than a silky surface.

I believe that artists are nothing more than a means for art to manifest itself, and what should really be valued is the creation, the work in its pure and natural form, not the artist as a central figure.

Anyone who observes my paintings will find himself in front of a surreal and dreamlike world, where distorted reality is mixed with my own grotesque fantasy. Everything is confused and becomes an absolute paradox.

My works live, breathe and feel, and if you pay them the right attention, they will whisper to your ear their most hidden mysteries, they will make you desire and possess them!
