Artist Bio

Although I used to draw for hours as a child, I never attended any art school.  But painting has always been a way of excluding myself from the world around me, as I am an extroverted and solitary person.

My art draws inspiration from my own feelings, emotions, and experiences. From my own dreams and desires, legends, fables and myths, as well as from my critical perspective on modern society.

I usually never plan what I’m going to paint; I simply stand in front of a canvas and open the door to my imagination. The shapes and colors change several times until the result reveals itself.

I express myself with strong strokes and bold colors, in a disorderly and spontaneous way. Without technicalities, limitations or rules, just letting the brushstrokes and strokes flow by themselves on the canvas. I never strive for perfection, good shading, or correct proportions. And I prefer to create rough textures with visible brushstrokes and palette marks.

I believe that artists are nothing more than a means for art to manifest itself, and what should really be valued is the creation, the work in its pure and natural form, not the artist as a central figure.

Anyone who looks at my paintings will find themselves in a dreamlike world, where our reality as a society and my chaotic vision of the world merge to create my own universe.

My works live, breathe, and feel, and if you pay close attention, they will whisper hidden, grotesque, and philosophical mysteries into your ear.
